Kyle Burke

Head of Player Development

Coach Kyle is the epitome of a players’ coach. His incredible ability to connect with anyone who walks through the gym doors has led him to become one of the most sought-after skills trainers in all of Central NJ and the Delaware Valley.
His training philosophy revolves around trust and a passion for the game. He understands that to truly get the most out of a player’s potential, he must build a trusting relationship that allows the player to venture out of his/her comfort zone, which is where the greatest improvements can be achieved. As obstacles and barriers to improvement present themselves, Coach Kyle’s experiences as a player (see below) allow him to help each player navigate their individual path to success.
The all-time leading 3-point shooter at both his high school (Hackensack) and college (TCNJ), Kyle has been a sharp shooter since a young age. He was All-Bergen County as a senior in high school and a 4-year starter, 2-year captain, and a 2x all-conference selection in college. At TCNJ, he scored over 1,000 points and ranks in the top-10 on the school’s all-time scoring list. After college, he attended a European League tryout and was invited to play professionally in Germany.
Coach Kyle’s incredible success on the court did not come without great commitment and sacrifice. A one-time Division I recruit; he suffered a devastating knee injury in high school. He had a choice to make, and he decided that the set-back was just a setup for a major comeback. He is a self-proclaimed gym rat and spent any moment he could working on his game. In college, he was routinely kicked out of the gym at all hours of the night by school janitors and administration, but his love of the game and his drive to become great brought him back night after night. No one would outwork him.

Off the court, Coach Kyle loves spending time with his family. He married his wife, Kristin, in 2014 and is the father of two beautiful children, Logan (7) and Madelynn (5). When he’s not coaching or hanging out with his family, he enjoys working out and playing basketball (surprise!) and following the National Champion Villanova basketball team. Kyle has also been a Senior Market Research Analyst for IQVIA, a human health technologies company, since 20067

Jennifer Bullock

Elite Skills Trainer

Jennifer is a true student of the game. “Details, details, details!” are all she wants to talk about when it comes to skill, execution and basketball IQ. Knowing what it’s like to ride the left side of the bench, and to work hard to see more playing time, Jennifer knows what it takes to overcome the competition, even within your own team. For someone who has never played in AAU or had 1 on 1 training, Jennifer learned the game by playing with guys in NYC parks and absorbing all she could from her high school and college coaches.

Jennifer went into her 5th year (college) becoming an assistant coach for the team. After graduating from Division III SUNY POLY, Jennifer jumped right into coaching AAU and later, personal training. Jennifer is not afraid to get sweaty and do the hard work with you, since she is always looking to maintain her game as well. She still plays in various women’s leagues around New Jersey, because BALL.IS.LIFE. She was a three sport athlete in college, so she knows a little something about Lacrosse and running cross country too.

Jennifer is Vertimax certified and has had the opportunity to attend Phil Handy’s (Lakers Head Trainer) “94FeetOfGame” annual certification training event. Learning from Phil and other NBA trainers like Rico Hines, Teresa Wheatherspoon, Chris Johnson, and Nike trainer Ganon Baker, Jennifer has been able to expand her network and improve upon her training philosophy.

In her spare time, Jen is doing her homework (watching film from her trainees or going to games). Aside from basketball, she will probably be catching up on anime she thought she was too cool for, when she was in school. Jen also loves to travel the world and ride her motorcycle when it’s warm outside. Her goal is to continue to grow as a trainer and mentor on and off the court.

Ben Stirt

Director of Basketball Performance

Ben’s goal as a basketball coach is to join basketball philosophy with skill training to create a well-rounded player that is high in both basketball IQ and fundamental skills. This is the foundation of greatness, and with Inner Drive Hoops, the foundation can be built and maximum potential can be unlocked!
Ben has a long history with the game of basketball, and he strives everyday to pass along his love and passion for the game. He played his first organized game at age 4 and has been involved with the game ever since.
He finished his high school career as an all-area player and three-year starting point guard in Gainesville, FL. Ben then moved on to play college basketball at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the 2006 conference championship team that beat Princeton, a rare win for a Division III program over a Division I program. Following his career at CMU, Ben joined Jamie Dixon’s staff at the University of Pittsburgh. He served as a head manager for the men’s basketball program for three years, during which the program won a Big East championship, played in three NCAA tournaments, and reached its first ever #1 ranking. While at Pitt, he worked with NBA players DeJuan Blair and Sam Young, as well as multiple all-Big East players. After graduating from Pitt with a degree in psychology, he returned to his home state where he received a master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida and continued his coaching career.
Ben was the head program coach for the Gainesville Stampede travel teams in Gainesville, FL for four years. He compiled a 91-27 coaching record while leading his teams to both a USSSA State and USSSA National championship.
While he enjoys the competitiveness of coaching in games, his true passion lies in the opportunity to teach in practice, private and group training sessions, and camps. Since 2009, Ben has trained hundreds of players from elementary school all the way to the college level. With well-thought-out, individualized plans, he has taken players to heights they never knew they could reach. Parents and players both rave about his ability to share knowledge and passion for the game of basketball, and most of all, his ability to make learning fun!
